Women’s clothes have changed dramatically over the centuries. Women wore dresses and skirts all the time. It was a fairly recent phenomenon, since the turn of the twentieth century, that women started to wear pants. Women have always learned to be linked to the lady and they are still dressed in modest clothes. Women never demonstrate cleavage or wear tight pants. The way women dress today reflect the feminist movement and the desensitization of our current society. People will see a woman in a mini skirt and tight pants below and her cleavage dragged and think it’s normal. People think it’s healthy and a revolution in women’s clothes in relation to how women were used to dress. But maybe the woman’s body is something to cherish and not exposed.
In Victorian times, women wore big hoop skirts and many underwear. They were still covered with head to toe. Women’s clothes before the Victorian have also been a very modest outfit. If you have examined women’s clothing around the world, many women would wear a pretty modest outfit that was fundamentally skirts and dresses. There are and were the exceptions of different cultures that do not target clothes as a daily necessity or do not wear very little.
The femininity of a woman is very special. Television and movies show us that the femininity of a woman can be very powerful, but it can be overexposed and misused. When a woman is shown with little or no clothes that is shameful to the woman herself. Some good things came out of the women’s feminist revolution, such as women who advancing in society and at the workplace. But in terms of exposure of the sacred body of women, this is where the revolution went wrong. Even a man’s body is something sacred and should not be exposed to the world. The human form is beautiful but it should not be beneficied.
Although you can see that women used to dress very modestly, you will see women walking around the bikinis and short mini skirts and tights and high heels. What does that say of the woman herself? Does this reflect his intelligence or self-confidence? Or is it just a reflection of how our society has remained in women. The body of a woman is beautiful but a woman has more value for her than her body.
There are so many good clothing items available for women today. You can shop in many clothing stores and find fashionable female clothing and modest. You do not have to go too far or be creative to set up a modest cabinet. Many shops sell clothes of modest women who are fashionable. You do not have to feel as if you are part of a different century to look female and fashionable. Women should be confident and find clothes that match them and seem well, and do not have to expose their bodies to the world.
